MY FIRST SHOWING.

My proudest, and most nervous moment so far, painted.

Toward the end of winter, I moved into a new apartment building downtown.  So new, in fact, that my best friend, dog, and I were the very first tennants.  So new also, that there was nothing hanging on the stark white walls lining the hallways, contrasting with the deep brown of the hardwood floors we walk on every day.  This turning point in my life, new career, new apartment, new dog, marked a new way of approaching things.  I went out on a limb and asked the property managers if they would be interested in a collection of paintings to hang on the walls, and by some turn of events, they said yes.

Not only do the walls of our home have plenty of color, and character now, this marks the very first time I have ever had any of my work on display for anyone to see.  On a personal level, this opportunity has changed my entire outlook on my artistry, my determination, and my confidence.  On a professional level, it's made me a nervous wreck!  I've come to embrace that feeling of nervousness, and turn it into something I can use during my painting sessions.  The work in these images display growth, and excitement, both on a personal and professional level.

Please enjoy the images below/  Alot went into the creation of this collection, and I am overwhelmed to have them hanging.  I hope that the feeling of excitement and nervousness come together in a way that inspires the end of self-doubt, and the realization of potential, no matter what it is that we might face.

each of these paintings will be on display starting May 5th, 2024 Downtown Columbus.  If you would like to have a look there is an open house as part of the Columbus Urban Tour of Homes, this Sunday, May 5th. Send me a message on the contact page.  I would love to hear what you think!
